I love breakfast and brunch parties! Obviously they are a little different than the typical dinner party and I love being able to show off different skills and breakfast/brunch foods. I am a sucker for all things Burrata. I especially like it within the first 24 hours of making it. Its rich and buttery and the creamy inside is irresistible! I eat it on a piece of baguette, or on pizza, or on a spoon. Any way you serve it, I can pretty much assure you that its going to be a very satisfying experience.
I recently picked up some fresh Burrata from my favorite Italian deli in Santa Monica, Bay Cities. They make it fresh daily and it’s always a special treat when I bring it home. I decided that what better way to use this than make a pizza/flatbread. (That is after I ate at least 3 tbsp of it plain… on a spoon… with some truffle salt!) Paired with homemade basil and spinach pesto and super thinly sliced prosciutto this was the most delectable flat bread to ever come to life on my pizza stone.
