Appetites: an iPad app + a Giveaway!

So a few months ago I was given a great opportunity to film a few segments for a recipe app that debuts today – it’s called Appetites and it’s an app and its awesome!! It’s pretty fantastic and I am so stoked to share the news and host a giveaway with Appetites! Essentially it’s the cookbook in an iPad. Pretty brilliant, right?!? Awesome food bloggers, including myself, Matt (Matt Bites), Nick & Blake (The Paupered Chef), Stephanie Hua (Lick My Spoon), Adrianna and Caroline (A Cozy Kitchen) and Gabi (BrokeAss Gourmet) share their favorite recipes from their food blogs and show you step by step how to create these recipes at home. The viewer is literally walked through every step and it’s filmed from the viewers point of view!! So it’s kinda like you’re making it right there on your iPad! It’s the perfect tool for someone who might be a little hesitant in the kitchen and this app is going to totally change the way you cook!

Here are a few of my absolute favorite recipes that I shared on Appetite!

Cowboy Caviar

Step by Step directions to make Irish Nachos!

Guacamole!! My all time fav:)

Mini veggie frittatas!

My fav cocktail of all times - Strawberry Basil Lemonade!

AND…. to kick off the launch of this amazing Appetites app, we are giving away 5 free downloads! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me what your absolute favorite food is in the whole wide world!! Next Monday, Feb 28th, I’ll randomly choose 5 winners and send you the codes to download the Appetites app for free!!

  1. My absolute favorite food HAS to be Macaroni and Cheese! I love it. All of it! Especially Blue Box, haha. But give me some good baked mac with chicken, bacon, and fancy cheeses, and I am in heaven! :D
So excited to see bloggers getting such amazing things done! Keep up the awesomeness!

  2. My mother-in-law’s squash casserole & oyster casserole are my two favorites! I know you said the absolute favorite but both of these dishes go hand in hand because the only time she prepares them is at Thanksgiving & Christmas. How I look forward to those meals!!

  3. Anything with a Mexican flair….it was almost the only thing I could keep in me during my pregnancy….doesn’t make sense with all those spices. Needless to say our son loves anything Mexican.

  4. This is so exciting! I can’t wait to try out this app! I have so many favorite foods, but I am going to have to say chocolate chip banana bread! You can never have too much of it!

  8. Oh I would say I can not do without a great steak. Nice and rare is pure comfort. It does not have to be daily, but a rare to medium rare steak or prime rib or even a cheese burger is all I need.

  9. I am only going to admit this so you know why I am not getting your app.

I dont even know what an “app” is or how to use it or where it goes. I wish I was kidding. :)

  10. Gaby,
Hmmmmm. My all time favorite food is *GUACAMOLE*!!!!
    (whaaaaaaaaaat?)

  11. Gaby – I love this video. You are so pretty & fun to watch. Your recipes look awesome. My favorite food ever – wild salmon with basil aioli sauce. Had it last night at my favorite restaurant.

  12. This is a great app, Gaby..congrats to you and your fellow foodies doing the series!
My favorite food in the entire world is Italian – but I love love love Thai and Vietnamese too.
Harder to cook those recipes but the flavors and lightness of the Asian cooking is delish and healthy..can’t resist a good Panang Curry and Vietnamese Lettuce Wraps!

  13. You should try the macaroni and cheese with truffles at a restaurant called Truffles. It is awesome. They are based in Hilton Head, SC but have several locations, one in Atlanta.
