Cookbook Club // Month 9

After a short hiatus for cookbook club, we're back! Month 9 is coming in hot and it's exactly what I've been craving after all my travels! Pure Delicious, here we come!

Here’s the deal if you’re new to cookbook club... each month I announce the cookbook of the month and then we can buy it, borrow it, check it out from the library and cook! Cook by yourself, invite your friends over, host your own cookbook club with the assigned book, whatever floats your boat. The idea is for us all to cook recipes from the same book in the same month. Pick one or two or three recipes. Whatever you can manage! THEN… for one of my Facebook Live or Instagram Live posts we’ll cook a recipe from the cookbook together and you guys can tune in, share your own pics from the recipes you’ve made, share your friends photos, you name it!!

We can talk in real time about the cookbooks, what we loved about certain recipes, what you have questions about, what worked, what didn’t…. the whole nine yards. And then we do it all over again next month. Fun, right? We get to virtually eat our way through a different cookbook every single month. I’m so jazzed about this idea and I hope you will be too. So let’s get round 9 rolling!

This month it's all about Pure Delicious from one of my very best friends Heather Christo. It's loaded with 150 Allergy-Free Recipes for everyday eating and entertaining. And here's the BEST part (ok well there are a lot of best parts so prepare yourselves...)

First - Heather is literally a rock star. She can whip up any recipe allergy free and it tastes incredible. And I'm not just saying that - truly these are game changers. That means these have no gluten, no peanuts, no eggs, no tree nuts, no dairy, no shellfish, no soy and no cane sugar. I mean, rock star doesn't even cover it. She's more like a superhero.

Second - her recipes are gorgeous, colorful and loaded with flavor.

Third, like me, Heather doesn't want to spend 123904812409 hours in the kitchen every week, so her recipes are DO-ABLE! You won't find any crazy ingredients, everything is easy to source, and if you or someone in your life is allergy free, this book is going to change their world.

Some stand outs for me include...

Pesto Baked Chicken

Rosemary Chicken Salad with Avocado and Bacon

Savory Quinoa Breakfast Bowl with Bacon, Onions and Greens

Asian Salmon Burgers with GLUTEN FREE BUNS. Yes please.

Chocolate Zucchini Bundt Cake

Apple Cinnamon Donuts

I mean... it's if that doesn't rock your world, then I don't know what else will! Can you believe all those recipes are gluten, dairy, egg free!?!

Here's the link to the book on Amazon Pure Delicious if you want to have it delivered or go grab it from your local bookstore or library! I’m starting to cook my way through this week!! And bonus - a LOT of these recipes work with the detox plan I posted last week. Feel free to leave any comments here if you have questions.

PS…. when you make something from the book, if you post it on insta use the hashtag #WGCcookbookclub so we can see!!

PSS – here’s cookbook club month 1 in case you’re interested! And month 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8!
