  1. Please try to have some recipes that CKD patients can make- i.e. -not so much sodium. Alas, many of your recipes contain close to the daily sodium allowance.

    1. Hey Susan, I know how you feel. I too have issues with sodium. Gaby and other experienced cooks can probably answer this better, but for me, I've found that there are a variety of substitutions that I can make to reduce my sodium intake. I use low-sodium soy sauce instead of salt in many dishes, regardless of whether it's Asian or Western. Anchovies will give you that Umami flavor without as much salt. Over time, I've learned to appreciate the flavor of the foods I cook without salt -- to the point where restaurant food tastes "too" salty. I also put 100 grams of salt in a small bowl I have by the range. That's all the added salt I allow myself for the next 30 days. Here are two other online resources. Good luck!

You can find more by doing an online search using the term 'salt substitutes'

  2. I made the peach and prosciutto pizza and the bbq chicken pizza last night. Oh. My. God!! They were absolutely incredible! So quick to make and so delicious!!
