You know how when you go somewhere for a weekend you're totally romanced by the destination and you want to pack your bags and move there immediately? Well, that totally happened last weekend. Thomas and I scooted up to Santa Barbara for a little weekend getaway and it was g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s.

I mean, I can't even being to describe how much we loved Santa Barbara and especially our hotel. We stayed at the Four Seasons Santa Barbara and it was phenomenal. The property was gorgeous. Brunch was extraordinary. And let's not forget the spa. I wanted to move in immediately.

Before we checked into the hotel, we met up with some friends for lunch at Scarlett Begonia.

It was complete with several rounds of blood orange mimosas and some really amazing burgers. Super cute restaurant. You should totally go. All the food was amazing, well thought out and it was all organic to boot! #score

Post lunch, we drove down to the beach and headed to the Four Seasons to check in and get cozy! Our room was gorgeous, overlooking the ocean. I think I stared at the sail boats passing by for a solid 30 minutes before Thomas convinced me it was time to go have a glass of bubbly and wander the property. Stunning.

This was literally what we stepped out the door to every morning...

We hit up the pool and the spa which was crazy nice because the weather in Santa Barbara was perfect. It's been a little questionable in LA, and freezing around the rest of the country, so it was nice to chill out by the pool and soak up some rays in 70 degree heat!! I think I even got a little bit of a tan!!

And how gorgeous is the pool/jacuzzi area?

We camped out on the deck for an hour or so. It's so easy to relax here it's not even funny!

We went for a late brunch on Sunday at the Four Seasons complete with some delicious Huevos Rancheros and more mimosas. I mean we were on vacation? Mimosas are mandatory at all times, right?

And then we strolled around the city and beach before heading back to LA!

I want to go back tomorrow! Or today 🙂

Oh, and although it's not pictured here, we stopped at La Super Rica for tacos on the way out of town. You guys. These are the BEST tacos in the history of California. You have to go. It's a must.

  1. We moved back east from Pasadena three years ago. This post almost made me cry with envy! We would go to Santa Barbara a couple of times a month and OMG do I miss it!!!! Another real treat in nearby Montecito is San Ysidro Ranch - HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!! Ok, I'm going to look out of my window and cry into the over cast 30 degree weather....

  2. I grew up in Santa Barbara, about 3 min from the Biltmore - now 4 seasons - where you stayed. That is "my" beach too. I grew up on that beach, took my dog running there every day when I was in college too. Isn't it a gorgeous town? Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I miss my home town
