Ojai, CA

I'm in love with California, especially Ojai.

I really am. I consider myself super lucky to live in a state where you can drive an hour or so and be in a completely different world. One of my favorite quick trips is to Ojai, CA. It's just a hop, skip and a jump from LA but make no mistake, it's not just a one night excursion. You're going to want to stay for weeks.

Ojai is relaxing, peaceful and totally gorgeous. I've been a handful of times and have stayed at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa each time. It's one of my favorite hotels in California, hands down. The Ojai Valley Inn was our first stop on our LA - SF road trip a few weeks back. We headed out pretty early and arrived in town before lunch in order to get in a quick tour of a local olive oil company.

After I satisfied my carb craving by stuffing my face with lots of bread and trying every olive oil known to man, we headed into town for lunch.

After lunch it was time to hit the hotel. We checked in, dumped out bags and headed to the pool. The pool at The Ojai Valley Inn is gorgeous and quite. Well, technically there are 2, but we were at the adults only pool which was 100% peaceful and gorgeous. It wasn't too crowded either so we were able to post up in one of the private cabana areas and recover from our extremely long 1.5 hour drive. (jk)

After getting in some pool time, we headed back to our room to change for dinner and then give ourselves a tour of the property. Just wait till you see some of the surroundings at the hotel. I literally wanted to move in. Aida and Lillian had to drag me outta there the next morning.

Oh and I can't forget about this.... which was waiting for us as we got to our room. I was in heaven.

The pink moment is something that Ojai is famous for! At a given time every day, the mountains look a little bit pink when the sun hits the right angle. Ojai Valley Inn Pink Mountains

We dined on the property at Marvilla and then hit the sheets early since we wanted to be up and take advantage of the complimentary fitness classes the resort has to offer. We did a hike and then yoga before grabbing some breakfast sandwiches and heading to Santa Barbara.

I am seriously in love with Ojai and can't wait to go back. Next time I'm for sure bringing along my husband as it's kind of the perfect romantic getaway for us in LA.

Here are some links to my fav places in Ojai and other funs things to do that I've done in the past!
