Ingredients

  • 4 ounces tequila
  • 2 ounces freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice
  • 2 ounces freshly-squeezed lime juice
  • 2 ounces Cointreau
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • splash of sparkling water
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt for rimming the glass, mixed with a dash of cayenne pepper
  • rosemary or slice of grapefruit for garnish

Instructions

  • To make the salt rim: mix 1 teaspoon of kosher salt and a dash of cayenne pepper. Run a lime around the glass and then rim the glass with the infused salt.
  • Combine the tequila, rosemary, Cointreau, grapefruit juice and lime juice in a cocktail shaker and add ¾ cup of ice. Secure the top and shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds. Strain to remove most of the rosemary and serve over crushed ice with sparkling water to top it off.

Notes

Adjust the amount of salt used on the rim to your preference.
