  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • 2 large eggs  
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt  
  • 2 1/2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Prepare a 12-cup muffin tin with liners or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Combine the melted butter, eggs and milk in a medium bowl. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir to combine. Fold in chocolate chips and fold until evenly combine.

  3. Divide the batter evenly among the 12 muffin liners. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown on top and a toothpick or knife can be inserted into the center of the muffin and comes out clean. Eat warm with a schmear of more butter or at room temperature.
