Whipped Feta

This Whipped feta is a creamy and spreadable cheese made by blending feta cheese with yogurt and olive oil. It has a smooth and tangy flavor, similar to traditional feta cheese, but with a lighter and more spreadable texture. It can be used as a dip, spread, or topping for various dishes.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces feta cheese drained
  • ¾ cup greek yogurt
  • 1 lemon zested
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil plus more as needed
  • 1 teaspoon Aleppo pepper or red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley

Instructions

  • In the bowl of a large food processor fitted with a blade, combine the feta, Greek yogurt and lemon zest. Blend, and while the processor is running, drizzle olive oil through the top opening, until the feta is whipped to a smooth mixture.
  • Transfer the whipped feta to a serving plate. Pour a bit of olive oil all over the feta, then top with the Aleppo pepper and fresh herbs. Serve as needed. Stores in the fridge beautifully (without the herbs) for up to a week)
