Cookbook Club is back for month #3 and I’m so pumped. We’re heading into the holiday season who better to hang out with than the queen of entertaining... Ina Garten!
Here’s the deal if you’re new to cookbook club... each month I announce the cookbook of the month and then we can buy it, borrow it, check it out from the library and cook! Cook by yourself, invite your friends over, host your own cookbook club with the assigned book, whatever floats your boat. The idea is for us all to cook recipes from the same book in the same month. Pick one or two or three recipes. Whatever you can manage! THEN… for one of my Facebook Live posts (every Wednesday at 11am PST) we’ll cook a recipe from the cookbook together and you guys can tune in, share your own pics from the recipes you’ve made, share your friends photos, you name it!!
We can talk in real time about the cookbooks, what we loved about certain recipes, what we didn’t love, what worked, what didn’t…. the whole nine yards. And then we’ll do it all again the next month. How fun is this? We get to virtually eat our way through a different cookbook every single month. I’m so jazzed about this idea and I hope you will be too. So let’s get round 3 going!
I'm so excited for this month because it's all about Ina's new book, Cooking for Jeffrey! Did you know she is America’s bestselling cookbook author? I'm obsessed with all things Ina, I own all her cookbooks, I watched every episode of Barefoot Contessa, I'm dying to be her best friend and go cook with her in the Hamptons, I mean she can do no wrong! This new cookbook is filled with the recipes Jeffrey and their friends request most like Brisket with Onions and Leeks, and Tsimmes, a vegetable stew with carrots, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, and prunes, and new favorites, like Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken and Roasted Salmon Tacos. There's Maple-Roasted Carrot Salad and Kale Salad with Pancetta and Pecorino, Apple Pie Bars, Vanilla Rum Panna Cotta with Salted Caramel. And I can bet that each one will be incredible!
Here’s the link to the book on Amazon (Cooking for Jeffrey) if you want to have it delivered or go grab it from your local bookstore or library! I’m starting to cook my way through this week!! Feel free to leave any comments here if you have questions. On Wednesday December 21st at 11am PST let’s all plan on tuning into Facebook live and discuss!
PS…. when you make something from the book, if you post it on insta use the hashtag #WGCcookbookclub so we can see!!
PSS – here’s cookbook club month 1 in case you’re interested! And month 2!
Did I miss your facebook live about this cookbook? I got it for Christmas and would love to catchup on what your favorites were!!
This coming Wednesday!! I skipped last week because of vacation!
I recently made the Maple-Roasted Carrot Salad and it's SO GOOD.
I love this idea. I need to get myself a copy of her book!
And the fun continues!
I love cookbook clubs and this book looks like a winner!
This is such a lovely idea and I love Ina Garten, she's amazing! I will have to pick up this book 🙂
