We're ringing in 2017 with a Winter Cheese Board   that won't break the bank but looks incredibly impressive!

If I've learned one thing this year from instagram - it's that you guys love a cheese board!! And guess what.... I love them too. They are the easiest way to feed a large crowd and they don't have to cost a fortune. For this Winter Cheese Board, I got all my meats and cheeses from Trader Joe's and then the rest comes from various grocery stores. Raincoast Crisps are at Whole Foods - and then Castelvetrano olives are at any grocery store that has a decent olive bar!  The whole thing pictured above cost less than $75 and easily feeds 15 people. And it's impressive, right?

The key is grouping everything in piles and giving everything different shapes and sizes. Cut the cheese into cubes,  slices or wedges. Fold the meat into quarters and place the prosciutto into piles. Fill in any empty spots with olives or nuts. Add some fresh fruit for a few pops of color and then voila! A cheese board of your dream!

  • Port salut Trader Joe's
  • Italian Bigonda Trader Joe's
  • Manchego Trader Joe's
  • Havarti with or without Dill Trader Joe's
  • Camembert Trader Joe's
  • Fromage Pave Trader Joe's
  • Salami
  • Prosciutto
  • Marcona Almonds
  • Roasted Pistachios
  • Persimmons
  • Dried Figs
  • Fig Jam
  • Honey
  • Mini Apples
  • Candied Walnuts
  • Castelvetrano Olives
  • Black Olives
  • Breadsticks
  • Rainforest Crisp Crackers and a few other varieties of crackers

Instructions
 

  • Arrange everything in piles on a large board or platter.
  • Serve with plenty of drinks, wine or cocktails as needed.

Notes

Nutrition will depend on what you add to your board and how many guests you have.

  1. You had me @ Trader Joe's.... I believe that most all of those goodies (or a variation of same) can be collected in one stop... :O)
