How to Make Christmas Mix
Step 1: In a large bowl combine the Cheerios, Chex, Pretzels.
Step 2: Add In M&Ms. Mix them up a bit, making sure that everything is evenly distributed.
Step 3: Meanwhile, over a double boiler, melt the white chocolate according to the directions on the package. Once the chocolate has melted and is a smooth consistency, drizzle the chocolate over the cereal mix.
Step 4: Combine with a wooden spoon or hands. Make sure all the cereal is covered in chocolate.
Step 5: If you need to melt the extra white chocolate to cover all the mix then go right on ahead! Once the entire batch has been combined, lay it out to dry on a large sheet of parchment or wax paper.
Step 6: Let dry for 1 hour so the chocolate is cooled and hard. Break it up into medium pieces and store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
How to Store Christmas Mix
For one you are eating in the next few days, store it in an airtight container in the fridge or outside if its just a few days.
How to Freeze Christmas Mix
I store it in an air-tight plastic bag in the freezer. I actually like it best right out of the freezer - and this way it lasts forever and doesn't go stale.
Tips & Tricks
Keep in mind that you can make this gluten-free if you want, by avoiding wheat Chex and picking up GF pretzels.

I love Snowball cookies!
I love Snowball cookies. I guess they're really called Mexican wedding cakes!
My family calls them butterballs.. I just made 78 for a cookie exchange at work. Lots of fun and delicious!
I haven't tried the Christmas Crack, but it looks and sounds terrific! I'm going to try it! I make Magic Bars each year. The layered bars with sweetened condensed milk....I think they are called by other names too. Thanks for the recipe 🙂
Hello Dollies!!!! mmmmm whoot whoot!
I've made this in the past for gifts. EVERYONE LOVES THIS!!!
Does anyone know how long it's good for if stored in Christmas cookie tins or zip lock bags? Made today to give this weekend but travel plans had to be postponed.
Thanks!!
Nancy - I stick mine in a ziptop bag and keep it in the freezer for weeks!!
Just made this and it's WONDERFUL! I've been thinking about it since your Snapisode and decided I needed to make it today!
yayayayayaya 🙂 xo
Choosing one is the difficult part. My favorite cookies are Great Grandmom's Almond Crescents, Coconut Macaroons dipped in dark chocolate and Cherry Santa hats stuffed and dipped in dark chocolate.
Too many to name! I will try this Christmas Crack though for sure!
Love this, will be making Christmas Crack for neighbour gifts this year. Favourite neighbour gift was last year,s Santa hats from bugles, m& m's, white chocolate...... Love treats!
This was delicious! I've made it twice already. The second time I added green food coloring to the white chocalte as it melted.
omg GORGEOUS!
I LOVE this stuff!! A friend made it for me a few years ago and I've been hooked, but haven't had time to make it yet this year!! I think my super-favorite holiday sweet treat is Martha Stewart's Coconut Sandwich Cookies. Vanilla buttercream sandwiched between two coconut cookies, rolled in shredded coconut. I never miss out on making those each year!
Hi there- I'm making the crack and am wondering if you mean white morsels not white chocolate? I bought all the ingredients and in the baking isle a 24 oz bag of Nestlé white morsels was on sale for $4.80 and each 3 oz bar of white choc was over $3. I got the morsels and am hoping that will work. Thank you and Happy Holidays!
white morsels will totally work!! just melt them according to the package directions and you're good to go!
Any thoughts on how long christmas crack stays "good" once it's made?
Trying to figure out when to put it together to give out as gifts 🙂
I keep it in the freezer for like a month! so as long as it's stored in an airtight container until you gift it - it's good to go!
I love making peppermint bark!
