If you're an Oreo fan, get ready to fall head over heels for these Peppermint Oreo Truffles! With just three simple ingredients, they’re a holiday game-changer that’s as easy to make as they are to devour. Think rich, chocolatey Oreo goodness blended with a festive peppermint twist, all wrapped up in a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth bite. Whether you're whipping them up for a party, gifting them to friends, or indulging in a little treat-yourself moment, these truffles are guaranteed to be your new favorite dessert obsession!

Why I Love This Recipe

I know it's a bold statement, but I think these Peppermint Oreo Truffles may just be better than slutty brownies. I know. It’s crazy. But they will literally rock your world.

Most truffle recipes require tempering chocolate and it takes a while... these are made with oreos, cream cheese and chocolate and come together VERY quickly. They are the perfect treat to make for any holiday parties or last minute office pot lucks! Plus they are the easiest things to make on earth, even easier than brigadeiros.

Make these immediately. And give them to your friends, family and neighbors. Oh and your boss... basically a guaranteed raise. You just need Oreo’s, cream cheese and some white and dark chocolate for dipping. See? Easy.

If you can’t find peppermint cookies, you can use regular Oreo’s and throw in a ¼ teaspoon of peppermint extract to give it that minty bite. The cookies and cream cheese go into a food processor and then less than 1 minute later you’ll have the insides gooey deliciousness that is going to make your truffle. From there, you just roll them into bite sized balls, chill them to harden them up, and then dip them in chocolate and drizzle with more chocolate. Done. Put them in your mouth and be happy. Trust me on this one. You need to make these immediately.

Let's talk nitty gritty when it comes to storing these things!

So delicious!!! Made some with my 4 year old and they were so good, we made another batch to give as treats for our neighbors. They’d be delicious with candy cane ‘dust’ or pieces sprinkled on top too. Thanks for another great recipe!

  2. Hi Gaby,

These look so good! Excited to bring them to my family holiday gathering! Quick question - approximately how much chocolate do you need and what brand do you use / recommend?

    Thanks!

These are really delicious and so easy to make! Putting them in the freezer for 30 min. as Gaby suggested made them very easy to dip. I put a teaspoon of canola oil in the melted chocolate to give it a bit of shine. We will definitely be adding this to our list of holiday treats to make each year. Thanks for another easy and tasty recipe!

  4. I obviously need some help - I made these christmas and even though I chilled them, the dipping part was a diaster. first, the chocolate was not thin enough to "dip" - had to spread. then the balls started falling off the toothpick or skewer into the chocolate. I finally just spooned it on and left it at that. What is the secret to "dipping"? They tasted great - just didn't look good.

    1. really perfectly melted chocolate help! and then after that - its messy work! just part of living that truffle life

  5. Hi Gaby! I tried these and couldn’t get the white chocolate morsels to melt. They just globbed and then began to burn. Is there a specific type of white chocolate I should use? Thank you!

    1. I use Nestle white chocolate chips - I've done an IGTV video on melting white chocolate for my christmas crack recipe. That might help!!

These are THE BEST!!!! I am so happy to have them in my repertoire now!! Although your decorating looks much better than mine!!

  7. OMG...made these yesterday...they were out of this world! Even my hubby, who is not a sweet lover, dug these and ask me to put them on the favorite list. Going to add to my holiday baking treat list for the years to come. Thank you so much for this awesome combination!

  8. I might try again another time. I used about 10 Oreos with the cream cheese, and 8 Oreos for the crumbles. Was that enough?
