Game time round THREE!! If you missed out on last months Cooking Club, don’t fear, round 3 is coming in hot today. We’re making the most of summer this year with the WGC Cooking Club! Read on for more details + a giveaway.


WGC Cooking Club

The August WGC Cooking Club starts today! If you didn’t participate the last two months – here’s the gist of it. WGC Cooking Club is a fun way to bring everyone together virtually. Here’s how it works:

  • Each month, I’ll choose one seasonal What’s Gaby Cooking Recipe! Something delish and easy.
  • All you have to do is make the specific recipe anytime during the month, snap a picture of it, and email it to me with the subject line #WGCCookingClub at mail@whatsgabycooking.com by 11:59 PM on the last day of the month. For this month, the deadline will be 11:59 PM on August 31st. 
  • By sending your picture to mail@whatsgabycooking.com, you’ll be entered to win a prize. This month we’re giving away another 10-piece All Clad set! For a bonus entry, post your photo to your instagram feed (must be public for me to find it) and tag @whatsgabycookin in the photo, in the caption and hashtag it with #WGCCookingClub.
  • At the end of each month, we will announce a randomly selected winner and share all your photos on the website! You’ll also be able to check them out on instagram for those of you using that as an extra entry.

August Recipe:

We’re keeping it rolling as far as summer produce goes with a very festive summer corn recipe - Avocado Corn and Quinoa Salad. It's the name of the game this month! We’re celebrating all the corn, my love of avocados, and of course a little cheese. Feel free to make substitutions as needed. If you can’t find quinoa, use rice or farro. You get the idea… this is just a fun excuse to get us all cooking together 🙂 COMMUNITY… my fav part of this beautiful world of What’s Gaby Cooking.

Send a photo of your entry to mail@whatsgabycooking.com by 11:59 PM on August 31st to enter the club. And if you want a second entry, make sure to post it to your instagram feed and tag @whatsgabycookin in the photo, in the caption and hashtag it with #WGCCookingClub. I can’t wait to keep this WGC Cooking Club rolling all year.

  2. Original recipe link fixed, but it's a 'Mexican Corn and Quinoa salad', not the 'Avocado, Corn and Quinoa salad' The avocado one sounds wonderful....

  3. Hello Gaby!

    What a great way to popularize cooking among ordinary Internet users! When the pandemic started and we were all trapped in our houses the only thing that saved me from going nuts was cooking. I started making my own sourdough, learned how to make macaroons, and memorized all pasta types. I will definitely participate in this month’s cooking game especially because the recipe is extremely easy and flavorful. Good luck to all the contestants!

  4. Yes!! I made this for dinner yesterday!! Ha! And because I always take pics of my food I’m actually on top of this month’s entry! One of my favorite salads!!

    How am I missing it?

  6. I just ordered groceries and, except for the specific cheese (which I have a substitute for), I’ll have every single ingredient required! I’d be a fool *not* to make this.
