What happens when 3 food professionals get together and throw the ultimate backyard fiesta? Magic. You guys are going to freak!
Matt and Adam are not only 2 of my very best friends, but they are also my favorite people to collaborate with. Whether we’re working on images for What’s Gaby Cooking, traveling the world exploring new food scenes, or shooting an outdoor dinner party… it makes work so much more fun when they are involved!
Recently Williams-Sonoma asked me to throw the ultimate West Coast Cantina Party and I was like…. ummmmm DONE! Have you met me? I love a Mexican themed party because it means that eating 3 pounds of guacamole in one sitting is considered socially acceptable and margaritas are mandatory. After shopping on the Williams-Sonoma website until my heart’s content (have you seen these insanely amazing dinner plates – I died) I checked out using their new Visa Checkout option which takes basically zero time and makes checkout way easier and totally secure (for someone who does a LOT of shopping online, it’s the best thing since sliced bread!). Anything that involves fewer clicks is basically my idea of heaven!
I set a date, invited my nearest and dearest and Matt, Adam and I went to town creating what was going to be the perfect evening. All the table settings come from Williams-Sonoma and we featured all sorts of delicious recipes that you can find here on What’s Gaby Cooking. The full menu consisted of chips, salsa and guacamole, grilled corn with a squeeze of lime and a sprinkle of cotija, skinny margaritas, spicy shrimp tostadas and watermelon jicama salad. It was the perfect meal, the perfect setting and (bonus!) perfectly healthy!!
