Why I Love This Recipe
Sweet Potatoes are one of my favorite side dishes at Thanksgiving. To be totally honest, I've always been a little (READ: A LOT) scared of the sweet potatoes and marshmallow side dish, I just can't wrap my head around it. I think marshmallows belong on s'mores! And if you're of the same mindset as me - you should probably make this S'more Pudding Pie or this salted chocolate tart for the Thanksgiving dessert table!
So as another sweet potato option, I started to make these mashed sweet potatoes that get tossed with a bit of chipotle peppers in adobo to give it a nice smoky taste. It's pretty addictive. Their buttery texture makes these chipotle mashed sweet potatoes an excellent addition to any Thanksgiving table! Another great option for sweet potatoes sans marshmallows is my sweet potato gratin or the garlic herb sweet potato fries. And while I love a traditional mashed potato or my white cheddar mashed potatoes, give these a try and you will be hooked!!
Chipotle Mashed Sweet Potatoes are the perfect way to spice up your traditional mashed potatoes. They're smokey, creamy, and full of flavor. Plus, they're super easy to make. Just boil some sweet potatoes, add in some chipotle peppers, mash it all up, and you're good to go. So next time you're looking for a way to jazz up your mashed potatoes, give these Chipotle Mashed Sweet Potatoes a try. You won't be disappointed. And if you're feeling really ambitious, why not impress your friends and family by making them for Thanksgiving dinner? They'll be so impressed that you took the time to make something extra special just for them.

FAQs
Do I need a potato ricer?
You don't NEED ricer, but it makes the process easier and the potatoes come out smoother. I have this ricer and honestly it makes the best mashed potatoes and it's inexpensive!
Can I make this recipe ahead of time?
This mashed potatoes recipe is great to make ahead and hold really well. Save the extra butter and seasoning in the last step and add it when re-heating. I like to make these a day ahead of time if I'm pressed on time, and re-heat them in a crockpot before dinner.

I made this a couple of nights ago, only I roasted my potatoes. So good. Eating leftovers now and I thought to squeeze a little lime juice over. Yum. Then I thought maybe just a sprinkling of brown sugar mixed in. Freakin' good! Thanks! I'll be repeating this often.
