So here’s the thing… What’s Gaby Cooking is mostly sunshine, flip flops, guacamole, a dose of silliness and epic spreads like this Dip Party.
It’s exactly who I am as a person but there’a also another part to me that cares about so much more than what we make in the kitchen. Yesterday I spent the day at #AYAsummit with ONE in Washington DC. It was a incredible day filled with different speakers talking about issues facing women and girls in the developing world and I encourage you to check it out. It’s going to take me a while to process everything I learned, but what I do know is that I feel incredibly lucky to be able to have a platform that can not only be used to share my favorite recipes and adventures, but also a way to share other things I’m passionate about, that could then go on to make a huge difference in others lives. Whew. Big things going on over here. Too deep? I hope not!
So, while I take a minute or two (or two hundred) to digest yesterdays events, let's talk about what this Dip Party situation! In case you hadn't noticed, you won't find any halloween decorated treats over here. It's not my thing. Instead, I plan on spending Halloween with a bunch of close friends, indulging in this Dip Party fabulousness we've got going on and drinking some kick ass sangria.
It's a new spin on my favorite way to entertain (hello Bruschetta Bar) and it's beyond easy. What more could you ask for than a combination of a bunch of different dips, some veggies, pita chips and crostini? Sounds like the perfect party to me!!
Grab some friends and go to town! It couldn't be an easier way to feed a crowd!
