Why I Love This Recipe

Strawberry Basil Lemonade was basically the first drink recipe I ever post on WGC and it's been my most requested drink ever since. It's a refreshing blend of homemade lemonade that gets fresh strawberries and basil pureed into the mixture. Depending on who's enjoying this with me, I'll add a bit of vodka or just leave it non-alcoholic and add a splash of sparkling water and enjoy it over some ice. Either way, it's the best drink out there and you should probably be drinking this over the weekend. Preferably while grilling!!

  1. This looks so delicious! I love gin, it's my favourite spirit. I can just imagine how well all the flavours would blend together in this! By the way, where did you get those gorgeous straws? They are so cute! I've got striped and polka dot ones but I'd love to buy the floral for summertime (which, by the way, is about six months away for us in Australia now! Sob! Winter in two days)

    1. The straws my mom got for me on etsy! she doesn't remember where - but she just searched "cute straws!"

  2. This sounds so refreshing! And I hope you're having a blast and doing it up right while you're in Tuscon!

  3. Yes! I need this in my life. I am a huge fan of strawberry lemonade and have been for years, why I never thought to put basil in it is beyond me. I need to try this ASAP. And I'm sure Kellan will love it too. I'll just leave the gin out 😉

  4. Is a glug a finger? 'cause that's how I measure. And it'd be a three-finger pour in my book. But, yeah, I'm all over this lemonade. It's going to be a summer favorite, I know it.

  5. This sounds so refreshing, Gaby! It's exactly the thing I want to be drinking on my bday this weekend 🙂

  6. This looks refreshing! I can imagine myself sitting in the sun enjoying. I have strawberries and basil growing in my backyard right now, so looks like this recipes will be making an appearance at least once this summer.
