TOAST! Oh goodness, let me count the ways!
I’m obsessed with all kinds of toast. Whenever it’s a single ladies kinda night, and my husband is out on the town with his friends or out of town, I’m all about toast. I’d eat it every day if I could. I’m a gal of simple tastes and toast fulfills all of that. Sometimes I get jazzy and go outside of my typical avocado toast so today I thought we’d do an ode to toast!
I mean, life would cease to exist if there wasn’t avocado toast present at all times. I’m partial to avo toast with avocado, lemon zest, lemon juice, red pepper flakes and some salt and pepper. Boom. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. Doesn’t get easier.
If I’m feeling fancy then we go with a burrata caprese situation. Basically anything with burrata qualifies as fancy, am I right?
Ricotta, grapes, candied walnuts and honeycomb is the kind of toast you break out for girls night. It’s perfect with a glass of champagne while you sit back and binge watch Bravo TV.
Smashed Peas with mint and radishes is the quintessential spring or summer toast. It’s light and refreshing and we really should all start eating more mint. (Here’s the recipe for the smashed pea part of it!)
Sliced apples or pears pair perfectly with some salty proscuitto and arugula all on top of a bed of brie cheese. Done and done.
5 perfect toasts for all sorts of occasions. Grab some snazzy bread from your local bakery and go to town. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go figure out a way to get myself to Australia because word on the street is that they are home to the most EPIC avocado toast of all times and I clearly need to experience that STAT.
