You know what’s really funny? I don’t love hosting house guests for overnight visits - but I LOVE hosting an Easter Brunch or just any brunch for that matter, and a dinner party.
That’s weird right? I’m like a hostess with the mostess only when I want to be. Okay…I just had to get that off my chest. Anyways - this past week I teamed up with McCormick to throw the most delicious Easter Brunch preview. It’s crazy to think how much work goes into planning a 2 hour event but it was well worth it!
We all know that fab meals start with really pure flavors - I’m all about letting flavors shine and keeping things simple, especially when it comes to special gatherings like Easter! McCormick’s mission (going strong for 125 years) is to bring you the purest possible flavor from source, to bottle, to your next delicious meal so we took their favorite flavors and created a menu to showcase everything! Easter got some modern flair (no deviled eggs here - they terrify me!) with the help of my favorite catering team in the whole wide world Whoa Nelly! We came up with a spice infused and delicious menu with all the on-trend flavors to create THIS:
market quiche / baked eggs with kale, fingerling potatoes, caramelized onions, and fontina cheese
cinnamon toast / baked brioche french toast cup with cinnamon-sugar crust
salmon spread / smoked salmon with herbed whipped cream cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickled red onions, lemon, capers, and flax crackers
vanilla poundcake / ricotta, and vanilla bean pound cake with vanilla glaze
dirty chai coffee cake / espresso and chai-spiced coffee cake
vanilla chia pudding / almond milk and vanilla chia seed pudding with coconut-almond streusel
market fruit platter with honey ricotta and nutmeg focaccia
and lastly a blood orange and ginger-tumeric-honey mimosa bar!
I tapped into one of my favorite people on earth - Barrett from Valleybrink Road to do the flowers and the gift boxes… wait till you see them! And got to work with Holly on all the photography. It was a dream team project and one that I won’t soon forget! Keep scrolling to see all the pics and get some last minute inspiration for Easter Brunch!! (or any brunch for that matter!!)
This is divine! I'm looking for the Cinnamon Toast/broche french toast recipe. Is there a link that I am missing?
Envious of the fact that you can eat outside without lots of sweaters! It's raining here, on Easter Sunday afternoon.
This looks like a wonderful brunch! Everything is so fresh and pretty. Happy Easter!!
This! Everything is beautiful. This is the most beautiful and perfect brunch I have ever seen! WOW!
I can't love this post more! I love me a brunch. Everything is beautiful and the menu sounds amazing! Where did the printables and frames come from?
frames are from crate and barrel! and we had a designer mock up the paper goods!
