Potato Chips with Caviar and Creme Fraiche = the easiest appetizer of all times!

You've gotta love it when fancy meets easy and comes together to be the most elegant appetizer of all times aka Potato Chips with Caviar and Creme Fraîche!

Have you guys heard of ROE Caviar? It’s only the best caviar on the face of the earth and it's back in stock and I'm obsessed. And you guys asked for fancy apps the other day on snapchat... so obviously I'm here to save the day. This concludes your Friday What's Gaby Cooking PSA! 🙂

Can we just take a moment to discuss potato chips and how perfect they are. I'm picky when it comes to potato chips. They need to be properly seasoned, thin enough to just pop in your mouth and easily crunch down and golden in color!! Nothing too pale - and nothing too burnt. No crazy seasoning, just salt please! The Cape Cod brand of chips is pretty perfect if you ask me. And here's where you can get fancy - add a dollop of creme fraîche on top of the chip, following by a small spoonful of the ROE Caviar and you're done. You could alternatively serve this on cucumbers instead of the potato chips if you're feeling healthy - and that's equally as delicious! Caviar is a definite splurge but the holidays are right around the corner and... YOLO.

Cuisine American
Servings 8 servings

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup crème fraîche
  • 3-4 ounces ROE caviar
  • Potato chips

Instructions

  • Top each potato chip with a small dollop of crème fraîche and a spoonful of caviar.
  • Serve as needed

Notes

Yup - I did it. This would "usually" be served with toast points, right? But why not add that extra salty, fatty flavor with the gourmet food?

  1. I love your blog, but its disappointing to see the same exact product placement on several different bloggers social media platforms. Obviously, Roe Caviar just recently sent out free caviar to several bloggers at the same time. Not only that but possibly also advised them on how to serve it as well because it was presented the same way on another bloggers snapchat.

I still love you and your blog, but its just sad when product placement is the exact same as other bloggers.

    1. Hey Jewell,

Thanks for your comment. It's actually one of my dear friends companies and this is in fact my favorite way to serve it. I can honestly tell you that no one asked me to post about it, paid me to post about it, told me how to serve it, or required anything of me. I'm just a fan of the product and love supporting my friends in their endeavors.

As far as the recipe being the same as other bloggers, I can only chalk that up to the fact that potatoes with creme fraiche and caviar is like one of the best combos on earth.

Thanks for being a fan of the blog! Happy weekend
