S’mores Bar Party!

First these was the Bruschetta Bar and now there’s the S’mores Bar! Who knows what’s coming next, but I’m feeling pretty good about all these party ideas.

S’mores are the quintessential summer dessert. They require no baking, just a handful of ingredients, and a group of people to enjoy them. That’s my kinda party!!

S'mores Bar

So here’s my thing with s’mores… there’s nothing wrong with the original, in fact it’s pretty awesome, but why not spice things up a bit! We’ve all seen s’mookies here on WGC and today we’re getting all kinds of crazy with a variety of s’mores!

All you need for this kinda party is an assortment of  Graham Crackers, Marshmallows, Chocolate, Dulce de Leche, Peaches, Bananas. Strawberries and Peanut Butter Cups! Plus you’ll need a fire and some sticks to roast the marshmallows on! (Note – I’m not above heating up the chocolate and marshmallows in the microwave if you don’t have access to a fire or just want 1 s’more. It’s a quick and easy way to satisfy a sweet tooth if time is of the essence!) But if you’re throwing a party, fire up that fire pit and let’s roast some marshmallows!!

Ingredients

  • Graham Crackers
  • Marshmallows
  • Chocolate
  • Dulce de Leche
  • Peaches thinly sliced
  • Bananas thinly sliced
  • Strawberries thinly sliced
  • Peanut Butter Cups

Instructions

  • I think you know the drill but here's the basic idea....
  • Stick a marshmallow on a stick and place it over an open flame for 30-60 seconds until toasted.
  • Place some chocolate or dulce de leche or peanut butter cups on a graham cracked. Add the toasted marshmallow on top. Add any of the assorted fruit plus the another graham cracker on top. Smush everything together and dig in.

Love the Dulce de Leche. I have to try that. On a camping trip last year, my husband dropped a peanut-butter pretzel into a s’more and we’ve been adding them to the mix ever since. They add a touch of salt, and a little extra crunch. So yummy.
