Few things in life are certain. One of them being that swim suit season is right around the corner and I have a thing for pool parties. And really cute bright colored bikinis. Another thing in life that is certain… I am really bad at “dieting.” It doesn’t really work for me. Never has. Never will. I am terrible at depriving myself of something I really want. For example if I make a proclamation that I am not going to eat cookies for an entire month, I will literally go out of my way to get a cooking while I am out and about by myself and no one can see me eat it. CAN YOU SAY CLOSET EATER? Who am I? I finally, after many many years of this, have decided that the best thing for me is just to eat what I want, when I want, and keep it all in moderation.
I feel like it’s basically what all those gorgeous French women do, but California style. Gaby style. It’s how I roll.
One of the things I do to keep myself in check, is start my day with my fav green smoothie. I’ve also finally converted my husband to the green smoothie program too. I make us both big smoothies in the morning so we can kick our day off on a healthy and delicious note. This smoothie is a combination of some of my favorite things and then my husband added the guava juice a few weeks ago and it basically blew my mind.
Guava juice is my life. For those of you who haven’t had it, you need to. I used to drink guava juice as a kid by the pint. And now, as an adult, let me tell you… it’s so freaking good in margaritas. And these smoothies. I’m obsessed.
The Green Machine Smoothie is my favorite way to start the day! This recipe is enough for 2 full servings and a little leftover for a snack later in the day

You know very well that I’m not a huge juice or smoothie person (too much Jamba Juice back in the day) but this sounds awesome! Will it help me look like that Astrid chick from BBC by my trip to Mexico? I’m in need of help over here!
