Step 6: Let dry for 1 hour so the chocolate is cooled and hard. Break it up into medium pieces and store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.

How to Store Christmas Mix

For one you are eating in the next few days, store it in an airtight container in the fridge or outside if its just a few days.

How to Freeze Christmas Mix

I store it in an air-tight plastic bag in the freezer. I actually like it best right out of the freezer - and this way it lasts forever and doesn't go stale.

Tips & Tricks

Keep in mind that you can make this gluten-free if you want, by avoiding wheat Chex and picking up GF pretzels.

I made this for neighbor gifts thinking it’d be best to make something I wouldn’t want to eat myself (not a fan of white chocolate). But, boy was I wrong! I can’t stop eating it! Obviously this is acceptable to eat for breakfast because it’s cereal, right?

  2. What would you recommend for a substitute for the Wheat and Corn Chex? We dont have those where I live in Canada. We do have chocolate, apple cinnamon, honey nut and cinnamon. What would you suggest? Or some other cereal altogether? I'd really like to try to make this recipe.

    1. I was wondering the same Jenn.
I’m not a huge white chocolate fan and was wondering if marshmallow could be substituted.
I read above someone asked if milk chocolate could be used instead and Gabby said it could but would look different, obvi.
Wonder if marshmallow could be used instead of chocolate.

    2. I would not recommend marshmallow. It will get soggy. But I promise, even white chocolate skeptics love this recipe

  3. Super duper good! Could not stop snacking and kept telling ourselves to knock it off before guests arrive. Let’s just say the guests sentiments were the same! They loved it!

Go ahead and double the recipe because it’s impossible to stop eating - you’ll need more if you plan on sharing with others! So delicious and easy to make!

Just made this and it’s delicious and so easy! Only modification I made was to add a scoop of coconut oil to the white chocolate before melting just to make it thinner to toss, but definitely not necessary by any means. Makes excellent little gifts for people, and super easy to make this gluten-free if needed.
