My love for a good brownie runs deep. It’s seriously one of my favorite sweets to make… right up there with chocolate chip cookies! These crinkle top brownie bites are soft and chewy on the inside and just slightly crispy on the outside, which is the perfect combo if you ask me. It’s basically a bunch of corner brownie pieces if you really think about it. And because there is no such thing as too much chocolate in my book, these little mini morsels of delicious chocolate brownie are sprinkled with a few chocolate chips throughout just for good measure.

They are super easy to make and only require one pot so there is minimal cleanup, which we love!! They are finished baking in about 15 minutes which means you can have these prepped and ready to eat within 20 minutes flat! I mean it doesn’t get better than that!

Plus, these bite-sized brownies are the perfect sharing dessert to bring to your next gathering since they can be made at a moment’s notice and everyone can pop one right into their mouth. They taste way better than the store bought brownie bites, and take just as much time to make, if not less, as you would spend going to the store and buying a box.

Now let’s break down a few commonly asked questions:

  • Can you freeze Crinkle Top Brownie Bites?
    • You sure can! Once these are baked, removed from the pan and cooled, you can pop them into a zip top bag or tupperware and place them in the freezer. They’ll last for weeks if you’re able to not eat them all!
  • How do you get brownies out of mini muffin pans?
    • Good question – that’s a key part to making these brownie bites. You’ll want to 1: use a muffin pan that’s non stick (linked below) and 2: spray it with non stick baking spray to be extra sure that these are easy to remove!
  • How much batter should I scoop into each muffin tin?
    • I use a 2-3 tablespoon cookie scoop to scoop the batter into the muffin tins.
  • What kind of chocolate chips do you use?
    • Use whatever you prefer – I like semi-sweet or dark chocolate, but milk and white chocolate are delish too! You can also omit the chocolate chips if you prefer.
  • Can you stuff Crinkle Top Brownie Bites?
    • You sure can! The recipe below is stuffed with chocolate chips but you can also stuff these with any other kind of chocolate, caramel, peanut butter, butterscotch etc. Just use smaller pieces of chocolate or candy and press them down into the muffin pan once you’ve filled the cavities with the brownie batter,
  • Need a mini muffin pan?
  • And if you’re a fan of brownies just as much as I am here are a few other brownie recipes that you’ll love:

  1. ok first time baking.. i dont have parchment paper and cooking spray… so how do i grease my pan.
any tips for a first time baker .. im pretty clueless HAHHAAH

    1. you could butter the baking tin really well so that nothing sticks! but baking spray is more dependable

    1. I haven’t tested it with a reduced amount of sugar so I can’t say exactly how that would affect the science behind the recipe

    2. i lowered it by that amount and it was okay for me .. i think the sweetness of the chocolate chips were enough for me

  2. How many mini brownies does this make? I need to make about 100 for an event and I’m not sure how much I need to expand the recipe. Thank you!

    1. haven’t tested it in a regular size!! I would just keep my eyes on it and do the knife test to ensure you don’t overbake

  3. hii just a doubt.. so when i removed the pan from heat do i immediately add the next ingredients immediately or let this cool first? becos i heard that if not the egge becomes kind of scrambled eggs idk HAHAH ..

does it make a difference if i just add cooled melted butter to all the other ingredients instead

My first time making brownies! These were great! Slightly crisp edges and very rich and chewy. BUT, doubling the recipe ended up making 48, not 24 like i thought. I filled the mini tin almost to the top, and they took 14 mins. Used 1/2 black cocoa from Bulk Barn and 1/2 Hersheys cocoa powders. I am a Baker, and I WILL make these again!

  5. Love this recipe! I think I would prefer it as bites (like the recipe says) but I didn’t have the pan so I used my 9×9 and it still worked great, just cooked it 25 min like Gaby said.

  6. Made these in the silicone sphere molds I finally got today. Instead of chocolate chips I used mini M&Ms. They took a little longer to cook. (19 min) and I let them cool in the molds but they are so good.

  7. How would cooking time and amount per cup change if I only have a regular cupcake tin versus one for minis?

    Can’t wait to make these!

    1. they’ll bake a bit longer – you’ll need to keep your eyes on them. I didn’t test them that way so I’m not 100% sure off the top of my head

  8. Hi, I found this recipe and was interested to try it out though I have a question about adding the sugar, salt and cocoa powder into the melted butter. Do you add the ingredients in the butter while it is on the stove?

Best bites ever!! Wonderful, quick, and simple. Also, I am non-dairy so used thick coconut milk instead. IT WAS FANTASTIC! You can’t taste the coconut at all. Just gooey chocolate. Yum.

Loved this recipe! It was really simple & I liked the one pot method for mixing the ingredients. I did have a like trouble getting some of them out. I’ll have to try some different things on that. The taste was delicious!

    1. whatever you prefer – I like semi-sweet or dark chocolate! but milk and white chocolate are delish too

Theses are delicious chocolately bites. Just the right size to pop in your mouth. You can change up flavors too. Today I am going to add espresso powder to the batter. You cannot beat these for any occasion.

It seemed like mine took way longer than 15 min to bake. I followed the recipe to the T. Is this normal??
I used a mini cupcake tin and cookie scoop .

Your brownie bites are irresistible! I’m making my third batch today. They are so bite sized and full of rich chocolate flavor. I cannot live without them. Last time I made them I added 1 tablespoon of espresso powder to the batter and wow! I love this recipe!

  16. Oh my! I made these for portion control, but I am not so sure. They are yummy. Hopefully I can keep them in the freezer and get them out one serving at a time.

Was craving two bite brownies, made these, and OMG do they hit the spot. Easy to make, taste and smell divine. I ran one of white sugar so I used brown. So good. Thank you for the recipe!

  18. These turned out perfect! I used a small spoon to fill up a mini muffin tray and they were sooo good. I love that it’s simple and you don’t need a mixer or softened butter. Will make again and again!

  19. In section 2 when you say “mix till smooth”, are you saying not grainy or just until mixed? I’m going with just till mixed. I hope that’s it

I made this last week and they were so good! It ended up making 36 mini brownies in about 14 minutes at a time. I also should’ve used more cooking spray because they stuck to the pan. Overall, great recipe and yummy brownies!

The brownies were super easy to make, even for me who usually messes up on things like this! I ended up burning it just a little bit, but it still turned out SUPER delicious. Crunchy on the outside, but really soft on the inside 😀 Thanks for posting this recipe!

3/4 sugar makes the perfect batch of brownies for our family since we do not like overly sweet….such an easy and delicious recipe that makes the cutest confections!

Delicious! Made these for a party and returned home with an empty plate. Definitely several steps up from the store bought!

Super easy and fast. And people love it because it is SO GOOD!! People frequently ask me to bring this to parties. I encourage people to try fruit jams / jellies / compotes as toppings. Peanut butter on top is amazing. I use almond flour instead of regular flour to make it gluten free. Depending on the crowd, I sometimes add some instant coffee, cinnamon, or cayenne pepper – know your audience.

It really is hard to believe that something so good, is so easy.

  25. I made a batch two weeks ago and I smell another batch in the oven now. Excellent recipe, my family loves them, easy to do, efficient and very tasty. There’s the beep, gotta run, but thanks! There are many 2 bite brownie recipes, but this the right one.

I doubled this recipe and I reduced the sugar by a half cup. The brownies are delicious, but be careful if you choose to double it like I did, with the exception of the sugar I followed the recipe exactly, and my second tray of 24 is baking now. After all is said and done, I believe I will end up with about 60 brownies!

  27. How many brownies can I get using just this recipe?
How many brownies can I get if I double the recipe, should I double the sugar?

    1. if you double the recipe, you should double each ingredient. You’d probably net out around 40-50 small bites

    2. I just made them and I got 24. They’re delicious. I had to bake them for about 5 more minutes. But all ovens aren’t the same.

These are delicious! I made these to give to my dance team and everyone loved them! They were super easy and didn’t take much time. It was also really helpful that the website had a button that doubled the recipe. Overall, these brownies are a 10/10.

  30. Is there any reason you can’t just use mini cupcake cups in the tins for easy removal and transport and leave room on top for frosting? I have made the store bought box brownies in regular cupcake cups that way, like the idea of smaller ones but was unsure about cooking times for small ones.

You can usually Google how much each ingredient weighs per TBSP or cup of you prefer weighing like I do!
