I live for a fun and festive tequila spritz type cocktail! So make way for these delish Blackberry Margaritas!
If you had to pick one kind of cocktail that was your go-to cocktail when you’re at a nice restaurant, or a dive bar, or anything in between… what would it be? For me… it’s a margarita of some sort. I like them with silver tequila, no crazy sweeteners, a splash of sparkling water on top and a salted rim. It’s my go-to anytime we’re having a cocktail or two and these Blackberry Margaritas are my current front runner.
Muddled blackberries give this that extra punch of flavor and a lot of color! Add to that some Cointreau to smooth it out with the tequila and you’re in business.
Need more tequila recipes:
- Watermelon Tequila Punch
- Grapefruit Margaritas
- Ranch Water
- The El Sueno
- Pineapple Margaritas
- Strawberry Jalapeno Margs
- 4 ounces tequila
- 2 ounces lime juice
- 2 ounces cointreau
- 12 blackberries muddled
- Topo Chico to finish
- limes to garnish
- aggressively salted rim
- Run a wedge of lime across the top of 2 glasses. Once damp, coat the rim in salt.
- Muddle the blackberries. Add the other liquids and strain to remove most of the seeds. Serve over ice in a salted rimmed glass.

This looks so refreshing! Can’t wait for berry season!
fun margarita and a nice excuse to break out the cointreau! Blackberries are nice too, don’t think I’ve ever had a blackberry in a cocktail, thank you!
